PIERRE, S.D. – The Governor’s Office of Economic Development (GOED) is spotlighting Manufacturing Week in South Dakota from October 4-11, 2024. This week-long event is an opportunity to highlight the role that manufacturing plays in the state’s economy and the various range of products made right here in South Dakota.
“Manufacturing continues to be a cornerstone of our state’s economy, and it’s exciting to see the innovative products being created in our communities,” said GOED Commissioner Joe Fiala. “We take great pride in the companies that have chosen South Dakota as their home.”
In South Dakota, manufacturing jobs offer high-tech and high-paying opportunities. From developing precision agricultural products and innovative chemical solutions to producing ethanol and advanced medical devices, manufacturers in the state are integral to everyday life and the larger economy.
