Agropur Regional Vice President Tim Czmowksi is never at a loss for cheese jokes. As a matter of fact, he’ll tell you that for Agropur, doing business in South Dakota has been "very gouda." That was in part why Agropur chose South Dakota for their largest project in company history.
So good, in fact, that as the result of a recent expansion at its Lake Norden, SD facility will be capable of processing more than 9 million pounds of milk daily, making 1 million pounds of cheese and approximately 500,000 pounds of whey powders per day, 365 days per year.
This town of just 452 people is able to attract workers from around the region to work at this word class company. The company’s website says it best –"Better Dairy. Better World."
