Value Added Livestock Underwriting (VALU) Guaranty

The South Dakota VALU Guaranty program is a 50% guarantee on a bank loan for livestock. The maximum term is 26 months. The Guarantee enables qualifying farmers/ranchers the ability to borrow money from their local lender because of the reduced risk to the lender. The maximum guarantee is $100,000.

How it Works

The lender has reduced risk on a loan to a qualifying borrower. If the borrower defaults, GOED will pay the bank 50% of their loss.

Use of Funds
