A laboratory 4,850 feet underground in the Homestake gold mine in Lead, South Dakota helped start a revolution in physics. The Sanford Underground Research Facility at Homestake is advancing our understanding of the universe and plays an essential role in its economic contributions to our state.
Since 1973, the South Dakota Housing Development Authority has been dedicated to developing affordable housing for all South Dakotans. Working through local partnerships, SDHDA helps to provide decent, healthy and safe housing opportunities to those in need, including low-income and moderate-income families, as well as the elderly and disabled.
