We were open then and we’re still open now. South Dakota is OPEN FOR BUSINESS. Join us on Wednesday, April 28 for our annual spring conference at the Sioux Falls Convention Center. Below you’ll find the full schedule for the day. We hope you’re as excited as we are for a day of networking, informational sessions on housing and workforce, how to “seal the deal” and how to navigate critical, sometimes difficult, conversations. For questions, contact Greta Stewart, GOED’s Director of Marketing, at 605.367.4516 or firstname.lastname@example.org.
Applicants requesting a grant under the ConnectSD Broadband Development Program are required to submit this application that will enable the Governor’s Office of Economic Development (GOED) to analyze six separate evaluation criteria to score the application.
The GOED offers on-demand and live training to our economic development partners and for education and professional development. Explore available topics or register for an upcoming live event by following the link below.

South Dakota’s Certified Site Program offers expanding businesses prequalified sites that are ready for development. A South Dakota Certified Site mitigates the risks associated with development by providing detailed information about the site including price and availability, utilities, access, and environmental assessments. The program is available to all economic development organizations, counties, cities, townships, planning districts, business improvement districts and developers, and is operated under the supervision of the Governor’s Office of Economic Development (GOED).

For more information on requirements and how to apply, please contact Ann Gesick Johnson.
Business location studies consistently show that available buildings and development sites rank among the top location factors for new and expanding companies. The Governor’s Office of Economic Development maintains an online database of available buildings and development sites to help with the promotion of South Dakota properties.
If you have a property you would like to list with the GOED, please take a few moments to review the guidelines and ensure that your property is a good match for our site.
An RFI is a formal “Request for Information” from a site selection consultant or company who is searching for a new location for operations. In the RFI, the site selection consultant or company will detail the key drivers of their project and what information they are seeking.
For more information on RFIs, please contact Jenny Ondell.
