2024 Governor's Conference on Economic Development
PIERRE, SD – Governor Kristi Noem has awarded $2.3 million in Community Development Block Grants (CDBG) to three projects in South Dakota. Cresbard, McLaughlin, and Philip will use the monies to help fund local community improvement projects.
“South Dakota’s economy is growing like never before. Our communities need to grow with our state. These infrastructure improvements will not only contribute to the quality of life for South Dakotans, they will ensure the continued success of communities across this great state,” said Chris Schilken, Commissioner of the Governor’s Office of Economic Development.
CDBG awards include the following:
The CDBG program provides funding to local governments to complete projects that improve living conditions. The program is funded through the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development and administered by the Governor’s Office of Economic Development.
